ParticipantHello,
WooCommerce released High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS) in version 8.2 (October 2023).
As of April 2024, Meta Box is not compatible with HPOS, which makes added custom fields not shown in WooCommerce but also "related plugins" like Woo Susbcriptions (previously WooCommerce Subscriptions).
At this point, we've disabled HPOS. That being said, WooCommerce is going forward with HPOS.
I would like to know if you plan on supporting the "feature" anytime soon. Is there a roadmap?
Thank you!

ModeratorHello,
The WooCommerce HPOS uses an admin page to show the data instead of the standard editing post page and Meta Box custom field isn't compatible with HPOS to show the field on that page. I will inform the development team to consider supporting this feature in future updates.
Thank you.

ParticipantHello Meta Box Team,
I’m reaching out to express the urgent need for compatibility with WooCommerce’s High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS). Like many users, we rely heavily on Meta Box to enhance WooCommerce’s functionality with custom fields, and unfortunately, the current lack of HPOS compatibility is impacting both Meta Box and critical plugins like WooCommerce Subscriptions.
Given WooCommerce's clear commitment to HPOS, the feature is rapidly becoming a fundamental part of the platform. Many of us in the community need this compatibility to maintain seamless workflows and continue using WooCommerce without compromising performance or features.
Would you be able to share any timeline or roadmap for HPOS support? Your commitment to developing this compatibility would be incredibly valuable to us. We’re enthusiastic about seeing Meta Box stay at the forefront of WooCommerce’s updates, and we appreciate all your hard work in enhancing our e-commerce experience.
Thank you for your consideration!

Participant+1 (+500 actually). This feature alone will save from tons of quirks in customizing WooC UX.

ParticipantFor those looking for this functionality, it seems like ACF pro will be implementing soon. Hopefully MB won't be too far behind:
ACF Support for WooCommerce high-performance order storage (HPOS).

ParticipantI ended up having to switch to ACF for a specific project because of this particular limitation. I'm using custom fields quite a bit on the Product and Order post types.
My client is getting a couple of thousand orders per day, and we need HPOS to be enabled. I was pretty far along in the project when I realized MetaBox doesn't support HPOS.
I had to pivot, which sucked since I had to manually recreate all the fields as there is no MB to ACF import/export option available in ACF.
MetaBox should be on top of this feature more than ACF, especially since it already has native support for custom tables.
HPOS support needs priority. This represents a significant shift for WooCommerce; not supporting it means MetaBox only partially works with Woo.
