    When I create a relationship, the metaboxes are generated automatically.

    Is there any way I can add an few extra fields in the same meta box?

    I have a relationship between POSTS and BRANDS.

    I wish to add some more fields. Not only show the auto generated one.

    Hi Fabian,

    The meta box for relationships does not support adding more fields there. You need to create another meta box and custom fields to use.

    Okay, what about the other way around?

    Is it possible to add the relationship as a field in a normal metabox somehow?

    Hi Fabian,

    Currently, it is not possible to add a relationship as a field in a metabox. But it's a good idea, I will inform the developer team to consider adding it to the to-do list for the future development of the plugin.

    Hi Metabox,

    Is this feature of adding custom fields to a relationship, or adding relationships fields to a meta box, on the roadmap yet? It would really make displaying related content advanced. I could then, for example, also be able to display the reason for the connection.

    It's a little disappointing this still hasn't been implemented in Metabox, even just via code. I have a modular system for web dev and every relationship field is usually the basis for a whole section and needs a heading, accent heading, and intro textfield, so letting us add extra fields or adding a relationship field to a reguar metabox would be FAR nearer and comprehensible than splitting the one section across two.

    I feel the ability to add a field group to a relationship is quite important. I can't think of many scenarios where it's not required...

    Adding relationship as a field is very important, used in conjunction with MB FRONTEND END POST using a custom redirection for (payments stuff), we only need to use one ID in the mb frontend end shortcode for the redirection to work normally…
